A Concert Series sponsored by the Friends of Musical Arts (FOMA), a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of classical music.
Legendary cellist Mstislav Rostropovich once compared virtuosi to magicians:
They do everything before your eyes, yet after each performance people ask,
"How did they do that?". The answer is that it is a combination of rare talent, relentless hard work, incredible passion and uncompromising love for their art which drives true virtuosi in pursuit of undeniable perfection.
I wrote these words for Virtuosi's inaugural season and it rings just as true today as it was then. VIRTUOSI Concert Series' commitment to excellence in music runs just as deep as a commitment of the artists it presents.
